# Sierra Bioclimatic Pergola - Dubai Hills Crest, Dubai Hills

Project Type

Sierra Bioclimatic Pergola (freestanding)

Location

Dubai Hills Crest, Dubai Hills

Scale

Residential - Villa Terrace

This Dubai Hills Crest villa sits within one of Dubai's newer premium communities - the architecture is contemporary and the brief reflected that. The client wanted a pergola that felt like a designed extension of the property rather than an addition to it.

The anthracite powder-coated [Sierra](https://shadingoasis.com/pergolas/sierra/) was specified to match the villa's dark architectural metalwork - the fencing, window frames, and exterior detailing. The result is a structure that reads as intentional rather than retrofitted, sitting flush with the building's visual language.

With the louvres closed, the Sierra creates a solid overhead ceiling - clean, uninterrupted, and fully protective against sun and rain. LED spotlights integrated directly into the aluminium frame provide even illumination after dark without requiring separate light fittings. A ceiling fan mounted centrally to the frame adds airflow during the warmer months, making the space genuinely comfortable rather than simply shaded.

The Somfy controller allows the homeowner to manage louvre position, lighting, and ventilation from a single point - fully open for winter afternoons, closed and lit for summer evenings.

Installed and covered by our 5-year warranty.
