Liwa Pergola Installed in The Springs - Dubai

This villa in The Springs needed shade over the back terrace, with an outdoor lounge beside the garden and a dining table outside the sliding doors. The brief was permanent shade with good airflow, without motors or electronics to maintain.

The Liwa fixed roof pergola was wall-mounted to the villa, so the structure runs straight off the house wall and the terrace stays open for furniture. Its overlapping aluminium louvres are set at a fixed angle: they block direct sun through the day while letting air move through, which keeps the space under the pergola comfortable rather than closed in.

Spotlights are integrated into the frame, so the lounge and dining area work after dark without separate wall lights. Powder-coated white, the pergola matches the villa's exterior and reads as part of the house rather than an add-on.
