The UAE climate is unforgiving. Temperatures exceed 45°C in summer, UV index regularly hits extreme levels, and structures face wind loads, sandstorms, and seasonal rain. A pergola that works in Europe will not necessarily perform here.
Most problems we see with failed pergolas come down to three things: thin aluminium profiles that deflect and warp under heat stress, cheap fabric that fades and tears within a season, and motors that are not rated for continuous outdoor use in high temperatures.
At Shading Oasis, every pergola we install is designed specifically for UAE conditions – with third-party structural calculations, Sauleda solution-dyed fabric, and components specified for the climate rather than simply imported and fitted.
If the space will be used in all weather and you want zero maintenance overhead, a fixed waterproof roof is the answer.
If you want to open and close the cover depending on conditions, and the span fits within 5m x 5m, the Wave Shade is the right starting point.
If you want the look and durability of a louvred pergola with a lower price point than a bioclimatic system, the Liwa is the choice.
If the outdoor space is a primary living or commercial area and you want full control over light, shade, and airflow — the Sierra is the right specification.
We would rather recommend the right structure for your space than sell you the most expensive one.
The UAE pergola market has a significant volume of low-cost structures that look acceptable in a brochure and deteriorate rapidly in the field. A pergola is a fixed structure – replacing one is expensive and disruptive.

Solution-dyed acrylic fabric such as Sauleda holds its colour and tensile strength under prolonged UV exposure. Cheaper polyester or non-solution-dyed fabrics fade within one to two seasons.
Some suppliers reduce louvre count to cut costs — wider gaps between louvres means less shade. Ask how many louvres are included per metre before signing off.

For motorised systems, the motor must be rated for continuous outdoor use in high ambient temperatures. We use Somfy controllers on our bioclimatic systems for this reason.
A supplier confident in their product will back it with a meaningful warranty. We provide a 5-year warranty on all Shading Oasis installations.
Yes We can do a range of standard and Special Powder Coating Colours. We can also powder coat in Wood effect however this does bring an additional cost.
Yes we can produce in higher sizes. Check with our team and they can assist with your requirements.
Yes we can supply drawings for projects of for approvals. Our team can assist with this.
We can arrange permits up to a certain point. We can provide drawings, installation team id. Depending on the community the customer will need to apply for a permit (and possibly pay a fee to the community management). We can assist you with the process.
