This Living Legends villa has a pool in the middle of the back garden, with the house on one side and a lounge area with a swing bed on the other. The owners wanted shade on both sides of the pool - permanent cover along the house, and shade they could open and close over the garden.

Along the back of the house we installed a wall-mounted Nimbus pergola. Its solid, flat roof gives complete cover from sun and rain over the sliding doors and the walkway beside the pool. Spotlights are built into the white ceiling, so the whole side of the house is lit in the evening without separate wall lights.

The Nimbus spotlights lighting the back of the villa at dusk, with a Wave shade over the swing bed beyond

Over the garden, two Wave shade pergolas carry the shade across to the lounge and swing bed. Their fabric canopies run out in soft folds when shade is needed and fold back when the family wants the sun - or the evening sky - over the garden.

Together they cover the space in two ways: a fixed, waterproof roof where the house needs it every day, and flexible fabric shade where the garden is used differently through the seasons.

Installed by our own team and covered by our 5-year warranty. Planning something similar? Try the Nimbus and Wave in 3D.
