Sierra Bioclimatic Pergola - Freestanding Villa Garden, Abu Dhabi

This villa garden required a freestanding pergola - no wall attachment, positioned centrally in the outdoor space to create a defined living and dining zone within a large open terrace.

The two-module Sierra was specified as a four-post freestanding structure, custom manufactured to span both the dining and seating areas in a single continuous installation. Being freestanding, the structure needed to perform independently without any building support - a third-party structural report was completed to confirm post fixing specifications and wind load tolerances for the site.

The motorised louvres give the homeowner full control over shade and ventilation throughout the day. An integrated outdoor blind was added to one elevation, providing privacy and blocking low afternoon sun without needing a permanent side wall - the blind retracts fully when not needed, keeping the garden views open.

The white powder-coated finish ties into the villa's exterior palette, and the clean four-post profile sits comfortably in the landscaped garden without dominating it.
