Sierra Pergola Installed in Jumeirah Golf Estates Carport

Carport shade in Dubai is a genuine practical need - interior temperatures in an unshaded car parked in direct sun can exceed 70°C. This Jumeirah Golf Estates villa required a solution that provided serious overhead protection while complementing the architecture of a premium property rather than detracting from it.

The two-module Sierra was installed across three posts to span the full double carport width, with the structure wall-mounted on the villa side. The anthracite powder-coated finish was selected specifically to contrast with the white villa exterior - giving the carport a deliberate, architectural quality rather than an afterthought addition.

The motorised louvres via Somfy controller mean the homeowner can open the roof fully for ventilation when the cars are parked, or close it against sun and rain as needed. Unlike a fixed solid carport roof, the bioclimatic system adapts - open on cooler days, closed when protection is needed.

A third-party structural report was completed prior to installation, confirming load tolerances and fixing specifications for the carport span.
